The Belzer Cheder on North Cole Street celebrated a key milestone with the Kevias Mezuzah for its new trailers, addressing urgent space needs amid a surge in enrollment. The event highlighted the institution’s commitment to Torah education as enrollment grows substantially this year.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Belzer Dayan Harav Wettenstein. Also present was New York State Assembly Member Aron Wieder, whose advocacy was instrumental in securing the final approvals. As the mezuzah was affixed, the gathering reflected on the trailers’ role in sustaining the cheder’s intimate learning environment while accommodating dozens more students.
In his address, Harav Wettenstein emphasized the value of expanded facilities for harchovas hadaas and offered blessings for the cheder’s success. He also commended the forthcoming permanent building project, praying for its swift realization. Extending well-wishes to Assembly Member Wieder, the Dayan praised his ongoing support for constituents needs and wished him continued achievements in Albany.
