A powerful resource that has already transformed lives across the UK is coming to the United States: The Helpline—a confidential, anonymous crisis support line—will officially launch in Monsey in the coming weeks, marking the first step in a national rollout to serve communities across the country.
Founded in 2019 by Rabbi AY Goldman and Shaya Halpern, The Helpline has become a trusted lifeline for individuals within the Jewish community facing situational crises. In the UK alone, The Helpline now handles over 2,000 calls every month, a testament to the tremendous need and the trusted support it provides.
Its core mission is simple yet profound: Never Struggle Alone.
Now, the same round-the-clock support that has brought hope and healing to so many in the UK will be available to people in the U.S., starting right here in Rockland County.
Services include:
- The HelpLine – A 24/7 anonymous and confidential telephone service providing a listening ear for anyone in distress.
- The HelpChat – An SMS-based support system that offers completely anonymous, non-verbal crisis support.
The Helpline’s approach is rooted in compassion, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity, ensuring callers receive judgment-free support when they need it most.
And now, with its U.S. launch, you can be part of this life-saving initiative.
LISTEN! YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE.
Imagine how many crises could have been avoided—or never worsened—if someone had simply been there to listen. The Helpline is calling on members of the community to step up and join as volunteers for its 24/7 anonymous hotline.
No prior experience is necessary—just an open heart, empathy, and a commitment to confidentiality. A new training course is beginning soon, and volunteers are urgently needed.
