Monsey Scoop regrets to inform you of the petira of Yisroel Leib Lapchinsky of New Square, who was niftar at the age of 46 following a sudden cardiac arrest.
The Niftar Z”L was a well-known and dedicated member of the community, serving as a bus driver for Monsey Trails and for the New Square school system with the Skvere Mosdos. He was also an active member of New Square Ershte Hilf (unit NS-480), a longtime Chesed 24/7 volunteer and a firefighter with the Hillcrest Fire Department.
New Square Hatzolah responded and made extensive efforts to save his life, but were unfortunately unsuccessful.
He leaves behind a wife, children, and grandchildren.
The levaya will take place in front of the Skvere Rebbe’s home, 10 Jefferson Avenue, at 5:40PM on Sunday.

Such a tzadik! Went up EACH AND EVERY WEEK to take care of the Chesed 24/7 room in Harris hospital for more than TWENTY YEARS
He was also a dedicated volunteer for 25 years in New Square Emergency zservice, everyone in the community loved him, he was always here for anyone in need 24hr
As a child and as an adult, always smiling, always kind, always placing others before himself. His beautiful presence will be missed.

During the snowstorm, he selflessly picked up family members to take them to their grandsons bris.
