Monsey Scoop regrets to inform you of the sudden Petira of Reb Tzvi (Hershel) Kenig Z”L, a beloved longtime Viznitzer Chosid, devoted Gabbai, and respected Magid Shiur at Khal Anshei Briarwood. He was 62 years old.
On Wednesday afternoon, Reb Hershel Z”L suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Rockland Hatzoloh Paramedics responded quickly and made every effort to save his life, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful.
The Levaya will take place Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Khal Anshei Briarwood on Briarwood Lane in Monsey, followed by another Levaya at the Viznitzer Shul on Phyllis Terrace at approximately 6:45PM. Kevura will then take place at the Viznitzer Beis HaChaim on Route 306.
