Shock and sorrow swept through the Monsey community as news broke this morning of the sudden and heartbreaking petirah of Reb Hershy Gross Z”L in Eretz Yisroel.
The niftar, a 39-year-old beloved Monsey resident, had embarked on a journey to Eretz Yisroel just three days prior to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, only to tragically collapse in the parking lot of Ben Gurion Airport shortly after his arrival.
For two agonizing days, The Niftar Z”L fought for his life in critical condition before sadly passing away on Wednesday morning. His untimely petirah has left all who knew him in mourning, particularly his four bereft orphaned children, who will forever hold onto the memory of their father’s infectious joy and ever-present smile.
The Levaya is scheduled to take place in Eretz Yisroel on Thursday.
