Monsey Scoop regrets to inform you of the petirah of Rebbetzin Sarah Schlesinger a”h, the mother of prominent local rabbonim Rav Yisroel Dovid Schlesinger (Shaarei Tefillah) and Rav Yehoshua Eliezer Schlesinger (Kehilas Bais Avrohom).
Rebbetzin Schlesinger, the daughter of Rav Chaim Tzvi Kruger zt”l – who was the head of the Agudas Harabanim in the US and Canada, and had earlier served as a rav in Europe – married Rav Shmuel Akiva Schlesinger of Strasbourg, France.
Over the following decades, the couple raised an esteemed family of rabbanim and marbitzei torah who have impacted and inspired untold thousands of people in America and across the world.
The levaya is taking place this afternoon in Yerushalayim, with kevurah following on Har Hamenuchos.
