BDE: Petira of Reb Yisroel Binyomin Berger Z”L, Former Menahel of Skverer Talmud Torah

Monsey Scoop regrets to inform you of the petira of Reb Yisroel Binyomin Berger Z”L, who was 64 years old. He was the youngest son of Reb Chaim Berger Z”L.

Reb Yisroel Binyomin Z”L suffered a stroke several weeks ago and was hospitalized. Although he was later discharged, he was readmitted about three weeks ago and diagnosed with a serious illness. He was niftar on the second day of Shavuos, Tuesday morning.

In his earlier years, the niftar served as the menahel of the Skverer Talmud Torah in New Square, where he was beloved and respected for his dedication to chinuch.

The levaya was held Tuesday afternoon (2nd day of Yom Tov) in New Square.

He is a brother of Reb Mendel Berger, one of the Skverer Roshei Kehilla.
