Monsey Scoop regrets to inform its readers of the petira of Rebbetzin Miriam Twersky A”H, the Rachmistrivka Rebbetzin, wife of the late Rachmistrivka Rebbe, Harav Chai Yitzchok Twerski Zt”l, and mother of the current Rachmistrivka Rebbes. She was 93 years old.
The Rebbetzin was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital on Sunday in critical condition. On Monday morning, following a significant deterioration in her condition, family members were called to her bedside, where she was subsequently niftar.
Rebbetzin Miriam A”H was the daughter of the previous Skverer Rebbe, Harav Yaakov Yosef Twersky Zt”l, and was a beloved matriarch of one of the most prominent chassidic dynasties. For decades, she stood at the side of her husband, the Rachmistrivka Rebbe Zt”l, who was niftar in 2023, serving as a source of strength, dignity, and inspiration to generations of chassidim and family members.
The Levaya is tentatively scheduled to take place Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Rachmistrivka Beis Hamedrish in Boro Park, followed by a stop in New Square at 4:00 p.m. The Levaya will then continue at 4:45 p.m. at the Rachmistrivka Beis Hamedrish on Hopal Lane in Monsey, followed by the Kevurah at the Rachmistrivka chelka in Har Shalom Beis HaChaim in Airmont.
Baruch Dayan HaEmes.
