Assemblyman Aron Wieder is highlighting the Assembly’s newly proposed budget plan as a key step in addressing financial challenges faced by families and communities across the state.
As economic pressures mount, with rising costs in essential areas such as everyday purchases, childcare, housing, and transportation, Assemblyman Wieder has remained focused on making life more affordable for his constituents. Since taking office, he has engaged in discussions with residents and emphasized his commitment to prioritizing families during these difficult economic times.
“The Assembly’s proposed budget plan, introduced earlier this week, does just that – it provides critical funding to support hardworking parents, students, and our communities,” said Wieder. “This spending plan includes allocations for afterschool programs, childcare subsidies, and providers. It also ensures the maintenance and improvement of regional and local highways and bridges while reinforcing public safety measures across the state.”
The budget plan represents a significant step in the ongoing negotiations between the Assembly, Senate, and Governor’s office, as state leaders work to finalize the fiscal blueprint for the upcoming year.
“This one-house plan is part of a larger budget negotiation process between our state’s governing bodies,” Wieder added. “As these negotiations progress, I remain committed to amplifying the voices of our communities, fighting for our priorities, and ensuring that the residents of Orangetown and Ramapo receive the support they need. Together, we can build a stronger, more secure future for local taxpayers.”
The final budget is expected to take shape in the coming weeks as discussions continue in Albany.
Typical political hype.
There’s absolutely nothing in the budget that’ll save me anything.
Who ever said that you’re going to get anything? This is money for YARC who are in bed with wieder from back in the day that he was on the school district board.
