Assemblyman Patrick Carroll Wins Democratic Primary, Advances to November Election

Assemblyman Patrick Carroll has successfully defended his seat in the Democratic primary for New York State Assembly District 96, defeating challenger P.T. Thomas.

Carroll’s victory secures his place on the November ballot as he seeks another term representing the district in Albany.

The first-term assemblyman entered the race facing his first primary challenge since winning election to the Assembly and successfully held off the challenge from Thomas.

District 96 includes portions of Clarkstown, Orangetown, and Haverstraw. Carroll will now shift his focus toward the general election campaign this fall.
