Assemblyman Aron Wieder officially opened his new Ramapo satellite district office on Sunday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Downtown 33 office building on Route 59, further expanding constituent services alongside his Pearl River office.
Addressing residents, elected officials, and members of law enforcement who attended the event, Wieder emphasized the importance of accessible government. “This office exists because of you and for you,” he said. “Government works best when it’s close to the people, and today we’re bringing it closer than ever, right here in Ramapo.”
Reflecting on his first year in office, Wieder noted that his team has resolved more than 1,000 constituent issues, responded to over 6,000 emails, and answered thousands of phone calls. “Behind every one of these numbers is a person who needed help, and that’s what this job is all about,” he said.
Wieder thanked his chief of staff and office team for their dedication, stressing that constituent service remains his top priority. With his district covering both Ramapo and Orangetown, he said it quickly became clear that a permanent presence in Ramapo was necessary.
Adding a personal touch to the celebration, Yisroel Eisenbach presented Assemblyman Wieder with a custom cake featuring his photo in honor of the occasion.
Several elected officials also addressed the crowd, praising Wieder’s accessibility and hands-on leadership. The ceremony concluded with a ribbon cutting, officially opening the Ramapo satellite office at Downtown 33 on Route 59 to serve local residents.
