Assemblyman Aron Wieder Joins Colleagues in Letter to Governor on Child Care Funding

Assemblyman Aron Wieder (D-District 97) has teamed up with other lawmakers, led by the Chair of the Assembly’s Children and Families Committee, to send a letter to Governor Kathy Hochul. Wieder, a member of the committee, is requesting additional funding for child care resource slots during budget negotiations.

Rockland County, part of Wieder’s district, has recently depleted its child care funds and is in dire need of more funding to add slots. The group seeks state resources to expand availability, supporting both working parents and those needing care options for their children.
