Assemblyman Aron Wieder Hosts Successful Mobile Office During New Square Community Day

Assemblyman Aron Wieder held a mobile constituent office on Thursday in the Village of New Square in conjunction with the village’s Community Day, delivering essential state services directly to residents.

Through the Assemblyman’s coordination, a New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) mobile unit was on site, enabling residents—many of whom do not drive—to apply for state IDs and driver’s licenses. Over one hundred residents received assistance, avoiding the need for travel outside the community.

Additional participating agencies included:

The Office of the New York State Comptroller, which informed residents about the Unclaimed Funds program and conducted on-site searches to identify potential unclaimed property or funds.
The American Red Cross, providing free smoke detectors and fire safety education.
The Rockland County Clerk’s office, processing passport applications.

At the conclusion of the event, Village Mayor Izzy Spitzer presented Assemblyman Wieder with a plaque in recognition of his ongoing dedication and substantial contributions to the residents of New Square.

Assemblyman Wieder thanked village leadership, participating agencies, and volunteers, stating, “My priority is ensuring residents can access vital services conveniently and efficiently. Today demonstrates the impact of effective collaboration for the 97th Assembly District.”

The event was widely praised by attendees for its convenience and accessibility.
