Assemblyman Aron Wieder Honors Moshe Kaff for Exemplary Service to New Square

On the Assembly floor in Albany, Assembly Member Aron Wieder delivered a heartfelt speech recognizing Mr. Moshe Kaff, Director of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Office of Emergency Management for the Village of New Square, for his outstanding dedication to public safety and community well-being.

Addressing the chamber, Wieder expressed great pride in introducing Kaff, a leader whose tireless efforts have strengthened the safety and resilience of New Square. “Mr. Kaff has dedicated himself—wholeheartedly—to the safety and well-being of his community,” Wieder stated, highlighting Kaff’s years of leadership in EMS and emergency response with professionalism, precision, and compassion.

Wieder emphasized Kaff’s critical role in moments of crisis, noting that he is often the first to respond, guiding teams, saving lives, and providing reassurance when it is needed most. Beyond immediate response, Kaff’s commitment extends to proactive planning, training, and enhancing the village’s preparedness for emergencies, from natural disasters to public health challenges.

“Mr. Kaff leads not for recognition but out of a deep sense of duty and heart,” Wieder said. “That is true leadership.” He underscored that Kaff’s service is a credit not only to New Square but to all of New York State.

In closing, Wieder respectfully requested that the Assembly extend all privileges and courtesies of the chamber to Kaff, stating, “We are truly honored by his presence today.”

The recognition underscores Wieder’s ongoing commitment to highlighting the contributions of exceptional community leaders within the 97th District and beyond.
