Assemblyman Aron Wieder Attends Governor Hochul’s 2026 State of the State Address

Assemblyman Aron Wieder (D-97th District, Rockland County) attended Governor Kathy Hochul’s 2026 State of the State address today, where the Governor outlined her legislative priorities, including affordability measures, public safety enhancements, universal child care, clean energy expansion, and protections against potential federal policy changes.

“With budget negotiations set to begin, I will work tirelessly to secure critical funding and resources for Rockland County families, schools, infrastructure, and communities,” said Assemblymember Wieder.

The address formally opens the 2026 legislative session, with budget talks expected to intensify in the coming weeks.
