Arrest Made in Airmont Residential Burglary Case

The Ramapo Police Department (RPD) has made an arrest in a residential burglary case. On August 15th, 2023, RPD received a report of a past residential burglary, setting off a chain of events that ultimately led to the apprehension of a suspect.

RPD detectives quickly responded to the scene and initiated a thorough investigation. Their relentless efforts bore fruit, resulting in the arrest of a 30-year-old male resident of Wesley Hills, New York. The arrest took place on the date preceding today’s report.

The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed at this time, faces a litany of charges stemming from his alleged involvement in the burglary. Among the charges filed against him are Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of Property in the 3rd Degree, and Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree.

Following his arrest, the suspect was promptly arraigned in at Airmont court. Notably, he was released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance has been scheduled for November and will take place in the Airmont Court.
