Shoppers of Evergreen supermarket should be on heightened alert for fraudulent and scamming activity, as the grocery’s delivery departments WhatsApp has been hacked, according to a statement from the store.
“It has come to our attention that the evergreen delivery whatsapp has been hacked,” Evergreen said.
Evergreen’s statement continues:
Unfortunately, in addition to messaging you, the hacker may reach out for a response in an effort to access your whatsapp number.
Here are our recommendations:
1. Ignore any whatsapp received from Evergreen delivery department over the next 48 hours.
2. If you are asked for a code or any kind of response, this request is not authorized or sent to you by Evergreen. PLEASE DISREGARD AND DO NOT RESPOND IN ANY WAY.
