A vehicle became fully engulfed in flames Sunday night at approximately 7:30 p.m. after catching fire while traveling northbound on the New York State Thruway.
The driver was able to exit the highway onto the Exit 14B off-ramp at North Airmont Road before the vehicle was completely engulfed by flames.
Monsey and Tallman Fire Departments responded to extinguish the fire, while Ramapo Police and New York State Police secured the scene and directed traffic. Faist EMS were on the scene as well. No injuries were reported.
