AIRMONT: Tree Falls on Live Wires at William P. Faist Central Headquarters, Flooding Building and Trapping Ambulances

A large tree fell onto live wires Wednesday evening at the William P. Faist Central Headquarters on South DeBaun Avenue, trapping three ambulances inside until Orange & Rockland Utilities could clear the scene.

The impact also caused a water main break inside the building, resulting in significant flooding. Faist members themselves worked quickly to clear the flooding conditions, while the Tallman Fire Department and Ramapo Police assisted on site.

A Faist representative told Monsey Scoop that the ambulance corps is continuing operations and brought two ambulances from their main headquarters in Chestnut Ridge until the situation is corrected. Crews remain at the scene working to secure the area and restore full operations at the facility.
