Agudath Israel of America hosted its fourth annual Rockland Legislative Meet and Greet on Thursday evening, bringing together a bipartisan group of elected officials and close to 150 members of the Rockland County Jewish community. The well-attended event, held at the Paramount Country Club in New City, offered community members a rare opportunity to engage directly with federal, state, and local lawmakers on issues of critical importance to the Orthodox Jewish community.
Throughout the evening, discussions focused on a range of key topics, including yeshiva education, busing, security funding, tax levies, and efforts to combat antisemitism. Elected officials spoke about their ongoing work and collaboration with Agudath Israel, emphasizing their commitment to addressing these concerns and maintaining open lines of communication with the community.
Congressman Mike Lawler was unable to attend in person due to his presence in Washington, D.C., but addressed attendees via a recorded video message. In his remarks, Congressman Lawler outlined current federal legislative priorities and reaffirmed his dedication to advocating for the needs of Rockland County residents.
Numerous elected officials were in attendance, several of whom addressed the crowd and expressed appreciation for Agudath Israel’s advocacy and leadership on behalf of the community. The evening underscored the organization’s continued role as a vital bridge between the Orthodox Jewish community and policymakers at every level of government.
The event was professionally coordinated by AT Your Service Event Planners, led by Avi Weinstein (845-422-6766).
