45 New Firefighters Graduate Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations Program in Rockland County

Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services has announced the successful completion of the Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations (BEFO) Class of 2025, with 45 new firefighters officially graduating from the program.

The BEFO course provides foundational training for volunteer and career firefighters, preparing them to respond to emergencies and operate safely in exterior fireground roles. This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter for these individuals, many of whom are now set to advance toward Interior Firefighting Operations certification.

County officials commended the graduates for their commitment and perseverance throughout the rigorous program. Their accomplishment reinforces the strength and future readiness of fire services across Rockland County.
