18-Year-Old Stony Point Woman Killed in Bergen County Motorcycle Crash with Jeep, Police Report

An 18-year-old woman lost her life and an 18-year-old man was hospitalized following a motorcycle collision with a Jeep in Bergen County on the evening of Tuesday, July 9, authorities confirmed.

According to Englewood Police, the incident occurred when a 2019 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by an 18-year-old man from Haverstraw, NY, was traveling east on E. Palisade Avenue in Englewood. The motorcycle was struck by a Jeep Cherokee in the westbound lanes as the Jeep attempted to make a left turn onto Dana Place.

The collision, which involved the front driver’s side of the Jeep, resulted in both the motorcycle riders being ejected from the vehicle. The woman from Stony Point, NY, and the operator were quickly transported to Hackensack University Medical Center. Sadly, the woman succumbed to her injuries, while the operator remains in stable condition with serious injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, a 52-year-old woman from Englewood, was unharmed in the incident.
